2023 Clone 30 Cabernet Sauvignon

This wine feels alive from the very first pour. Like stepping into a sunlit garden after a cool morning, it bursts with energy and freshness. Aromas of black cherry, blackberry, and plum intertwine with green herbs—thyme, oregano, and bay leaf—creating a beautifully lifted, savory profile. A hint of white pepper and a subtle prosciutto-like richness add intrigue and depth.

On the palate, juicy black fruits take center stage, supported by bright acidity that keeps everything moving. Fine, linen-like tannins provide structure without heaviness, allowing the vibrant fruit and herbal notes to shine. The finish is long, fresh, and dynamic—leaving you wanting another sip.

Perfect Pairings: Chimichurri steak, grilled tri-tip, or herb-marinated lamb. Also excellent with charcuterie, roasted vegetables, and savory dishes with fresh herbs.

Vintage Notes: A cool, wet winter and mild growing season delayed harvest, allowing for slow ripening and exceptional balance. A late-season heat spike helped achieve ideal ripeness, resulting in one of the most elegant Livermore vintages in recent memory. Harvested October 31, 2023.

Vineyard: Lucky 8 Vineyard, South Livermore Valley

Winemaking: Fermented in stainless steel and aged ~30 months in French and Hungarian oak (20% new). Bottled March 26, 2026.
