2023 Austin James Cabernet

Deep garnet color and the aromas emerge with sweet cherries taking center stage.  This fruit driven Cabernet has black cherry, boysenberry, and baked blackberry all elegantly blending in with the milk chocolate, vanilla, and cassis notes.  As the wine opens a bit, the secondary flavors of Italian spices, hints of leather and cedar make their way through the cherry, vanilla and cassis.  Pleasing acidity and elegant tannins lead to a long, yet smooth finish for this delicious Cabernet. You can pair this wine with short ribs and a cherry reduction sauce or chocolate cherry brownies.
